Specialized Hospital Cars for Moving Damaged Railcars
Since 1999, railroads have relied on RedStreak when equipment is down and time matters. Our cars are built for recovery work—not general freight—and are used across Class I, short-line, and private rail operations.
When railcars are damaged and can’t move, RedStreak provides specialized hospital flatcars to get them to shop or scrap safely and quickly.
Redstreak’s patented design allows the body and trucks to be moved on one flatcar. The movable bolster creates adaptability to safely handle most car types, while reducing labor and materials costs that come with using a standard flatcar.
Our loading method is shown in the Association of American Railroads Open Top Loading Rules and is familiar to mechanical crews.
