Redstreak is headed by a group of professionals with extensive experience in the railroad industry and the technology service sector.

Ryan Gilmer, Principal

Mr. Gilmer, a multigenerational railroader, brings extensive expertise using technology to enhance workflow processes, improve safety, and ensure regulatory compliance. In 1997, Mr. Gilmer founded, Inc., a company that develops e-learning and instructor-led training for large institutional clients, including the U.S. Department of Defense. Under his leadership, has been profitable and grown steadily every year since inception. Before founding, Mr. Gilmer managed large-scale technology development projects for the U.S. Department of Defense, Dow Chemicals, GE Plastics, and Walt Disney Company.

Mr. Gilmer holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Economics from Regis University. Mr. Gilmer is also a member of the Project Management Institute, has held Top Secret clearance with the U.S. Department of Defense, and holds state certifications in responding to hazardous materials incidents.

Michael Kester, Principal

Mr. Kester is a former consultant with McKinsey & Company where he managed client teams as part of manufacturing company turnarounds, go-to-market strategy implementations, product development process implementations, and financial due diligence for private equity investments. Mr. Kester also worked as a Financial Analyst for Lehman Brother's Merchant Banking group.

Mr. Kester has a B.A. summa cum laude in Philosophy from the University of Colorado at Boulder where he was student body co-president and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Mr. Kester received the Harry S. Truman Scholarship in recognition of outstanding leadership, academics, and service.

Victor Martin, Vice President Fleet Management

Mr. Martin has worked in the transportation industry for over 20 years. He started his career by manufacturing truck bodies in Southern California. Then Mr. Martin became the quality control inspector at the facility before moving to the shipping department. Mr. Martin then moved over to driving commercial vehicles where he was introduced to the rail industry in 2005. Since that time, he has been promoted from a direct to locomotive fuel technician, to Site Forman, to Regional Manager, and finally becoming Redstreak's Vice President Fleet Management. Mr. Martin has a Technical Associates in Architectural and Structural Drafting from HTI in Phoenix, AZ.

Andrew Shepherd, Vice President Equipment

Mr. Shepherd formerly worked in product development in the bicycle industry before moving to railroad. Mr. Shepherd studied molecular biology at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, VA and mechanical engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Regarded for technical expertise, Mr. Shepherd brings a breadth of knowledge that includes welding, machining, and other industrial manufacturing processes. In 2006 Mr. Shepherd became the US technical resources manager for Lapierre Cycles where he coordinated dealer relations, warranty fulfillment, and other operations aspects. At Trek Bicycle Company, Mr. Shepherd worked with the mountain bike factory racing team bridging the gap between athletes and technology, aiding in product development, and coordinating equipment transportation domestically and internationally. Mr. Shepherd has a passion for all things mechanical, as well as attention to detail, planning, and logistics.
